Less or more, it doesn't matter.

The number of entries in the vcgt need bear no relationship to the
number of entries in the LUT, because the vcgt curve entries can be
interpolated to match the number of entries in the LUT. The vcgt
defines a sampled curve, not individual entries for a table.
