A reliable way to solve Spyder problems, I have found with my clients,
is not to use Spyder. I believe that the company which makes
Coloreyes has some software which will drive the hardware, and thereby
allow you to escape from the Spyder software. A fully functional demo
that generates profiles can be downloaded from their site. They also
offer tech support.

I recently attempted to download and calibrate my laptop with my Spyder 2 colorimeter. It works fine on my PC.
It loaded on the MacBook Pro although I not sure since it's an Intel Duo Core processor. During calibration, I got an error message at the end saying it did not work correctly.
Apple support helped me recalibrate with ColorSync. Does factory installed ColorSync need to be removed before using a colorimeter?
My device profiles for my Canon 5D camera or Epson R1800 printer do not show in ColorSync. My limited understanding of ColorSync is that once you plug in the device its color space shows up in ColorSync.
Is this true?
