David,
In Photoshop, and with your image open, select FILE >
PRINT WITH PREVIEW > and all your settings are there. To print without any
color management or profiles, under OPTIONS and COLOR HANDLING, select "No Color
Management". Alternatively, you could select "Let Photoshop Determine Colors"
and then select the profile and rendering intent you'd like to use.
This is only the first step. The next step, is
to click the "PRINT..." button and select your printer. This brings up
your printer dialog. Most dialogs vary slightly, but look on the MAIN tab for a
MODE section. By default this is usually set to "Automatic". Click on the
"Custom" button, and then click on the "Advanced" button. The "Advanced" button
usually brings up another window. Look for "Printer Color Management" and make
sure you set this to OFF.
Good luck.

4. Re: Gutenprint 5 and profiles (Robert L Krawitz)
First, to answer Rainer's question: set Color Correction to
Uncorrected. Robert:
Where do I find a place to set Color Correction to Uncorrected?
I am using 10.4.7. Printers, all Epson, include, R320, R2400 matte black
ink, Pro 9600 matte black ink, and Color Stylus 980.
Also, I still don't understand interleave method options, after reading the
information that came with the download.
Printing on the Pro 9600 with matte black ink, I use all matte substrates:
Canvas, smooth fine art paper, Epson Enhanced matte paper.
However, I am now profiling the luster as well as glossy, rolls of paper,
using "five color photo composite", to see if I can get results as if I were
using the "photo black" in the Pro 9600. I will only keep matte black in my Pro
9600.
Cheers
