Hello
First of all let me apologize for the delay: I've been busy
dealing with the many replies that came in, both here and
privately.
Once more I'm struck by the feedback I'm getting from this
list: I wish to thank all those who replied.
For those interested, I have uploaded on my FTP a file
named "DTS1030 II.zip" which comprises some auxiliary files
together with an illustrated report that, besides answering
the questions that were put to me both here and privately,
describes the new driver configuration, the creation of a
new colour profile, the editing of the target scan to
build a second profile, a comparison of these new profiles
with both my old profile and two profiles that were created
using the PerfX and LProf profiling packages, the evaluation
of my new profiles in several ways (ie tagging of the usual
'Escape' image, ColorLab, ColorThink) and, finally, tests on
both my Eizo monitor and my Normlicht transparency viewer.
I didn't succeed in having the display of my scans equal
the appearance of transparencies in my viewer. With regard
to this, a list member, that generously helped me, suggested
than I might be sort of comparing apples and oranges.
His reasoning is convincing but I'll have to thoroughly
understand it by asking some more questions to the list.
Thanks for your interest.
Giordano
