Ah yes, :-}, I wrote Adobe would "assign" the working space, while it
only "assumes" the working space for conversions, not tagging the
document with the profile.
So, Adobe by default uses the currently selected working space as source
for all color conversions (to screen, for printing, proofing, etc.):
- when the colormanagement policie is set to "Off",
(in the application's color settings; for InDesign also possible in the
document's color settings)
- when a document with an embedded profile other than the working space
is opened, and choosing "..don't colormanage.." in the color warning
dialog,
- when a document with no embedded profile is opened, and choosing
"..don't colormanage.." in the color warning dialog,
- when choosing "..don't colormanage.." in an Assign Profile dialog.
And "..don't colormanage.." may be called:
- leave as is
- discard the embedded profile
- don't color manage this document
mostly followed by "don't color manage" or "use working space".
