I'm not sure I understand the origin of this thread. After reading
the tech article from Adobe it seems they are insinuating there is
something wrong with the Epson printer drivers when you shut the
color management off. I have never experienced this before. I'm
always hesitant to allow the printer/driver to do ANYTHING for me.
The only instance where I might let the printer do the conversion is
with the new HP Z-Series printers. Sometimes when you shut the color
management off in the driver (by choosing "Application Managed
Colors") it ends up getting applied anyway. My understanding is that
this was a Mac-specific thing...and it did not necessarily happen all
the time (which made it all the more irritating). This was a while
ago, so maybe a recent firmware or driver update fixed this. I still
just let the printer manage the color out of habit.

Thanks for the update Terrie.
Good to know that it works on a PC though apparently it's mostly an
issue
with Mac users. Andrew Rodney recently popped into a thread on this
topic
on the Adobe Color Management Forum to suggest that making the 2200
the
'default printer' in a Mac printing workflow resolves the off-color
problem for
many users. Seems there's a bug somewhere that needs fixin'.
Sorry to take so long to respond. I get this list in 'digest' form
and don't always
have time to read it. Work gets in the way :-)
