Could you tell me exactly how to do it ? The
problem, as I stated is that I want to convert from a standard space,
eg. Lab or Prophoto to an existing camera profile.
There are several ways to do it. If you just need to convert a few
values and you know their PCS coordinates, you can use xicclu -fif for
the PCS->CameraRGB lookup (see <http://argyllcms.com/doc/xicclu.html>).
Or you can build a device link profile using icclink -G (see
<http://argyllcms.com/doc/icclink.html>) as Grame proposed
and use icclu <http://argyllcms.com/doc/icclu.html> to lookup RGB values
(e.g. ProphotoRGB->CameraRGB).
Of course you can also use the devicelink Profile to convert images, eg.
with cctiff <http://argyllcms.com/doc/cctiff.html> or AppleScript (match
link).
BTW: I recommend using the latest argyllcms Snapshot, see
<http://www.freelists.org/archives/argyllcms/05-2007/msg00026.html>. It
also contains the updated documentation.
Regards, Klaus
