That's precisely my point, information is not free. Whereas all these
journals would sit quietly accumating dust on some library shelves --
provided they'd still be available (not out of print). But you could always
argue that library's subscriptions to these journals are not free in the
first place. But I would reply even university libraries are "public", it is
a service to the scientific community.

In this case, though, it may be worth the price of the download.
