Hi,
I am retouching for ad agencies, but I never quite understand which is
the best way to convert to profile without (or less) losing data. We
use the same image for posters, magazines and newspaper, which all use
difference profiles.
Some recommends while we are working on CMYK untagged (or profile
provided from digital house), after retouching change 'setting
profile' to the profile I want, for example I change it to 'QC Gen 310
C F.icc' for magazine, then convert my image to LAB, or RGB then
convert back to CMYK to get the result of 'QC Gen 310 C F.icc' Or I
can just use convert to profile under IMAGE menu?
What the difference between assign profile and convert to profile? And
isn't we lose data every time we are changing colour mode?
What do you recommend?
Cheers,
