Hello Derek,
I did not look at BabelColor PatchTool. Does it allow
you to pick your own
color values, or it will generate it's own?
It will import either CGATS or plain text files (TAB,
comma, etc. delimited). The plain file is easily generated
from a spreadsheet (more appropriate in your case) or a
text editor, from where it is exported as TAB-delimited or
CSV.
Once imported in PatchTool, you can easily export it to a
CGATS format file and to TIFF-CMYK or TIFF-Lab images
(8-16 bit).
What you cannot do, at this time, is have the patches
images generated with row reference numbers, or separated
into pre-defined page sizes, and there is no separation
between patches (white or black lines) to make sure some
spectros notice the patch change.
The free trial lets you open files (CXF spectrums, CGATS,
and plain files), but no export.
This may be not the exact solution to your requirements,
but at least a tool towards it.

Steve is right. I will have to pare it down. The reason
for my custom chart
is exactly what Rick guessed. I have a brand new gmg
system and I was happy
with my proofs matching My Fuji FinalProof till I ran
some job with neutrals
in highlight. My gmg proof was too warm. I need to make
it ,match closer. I
tried Profilemaker and it does NOT work. You just cannot
type your own color
values you want to use. Same in ColorPort unless you ad
custom - but this
will awful amount of time. I am looking at some
automation. The worst I
would open ECI or IT8 and add more values to them.

Anyway, I need to make a custom color chart for my gmg
colorproof and I am
looking for automation.

Now go to ColorPort (also free). In the Create Target
tab go to Patch
Set>New. Hit the Import Patches button at the top and
direct the
program
to the text file you just created. Set all your other
parameters and
hit
Save Target. You now have a target and reference file.
You also could just go into Patch Set>New and type
everything in here,
but
I'm not sure how you get a reference file out of it.
Once defined here, it would saved as an xml file and
immediately
available in the Target drop down menu of the Measure
Target tab. After
you measure the target in Colorport, and save as a CGATS
file, you could
use the CGATS file as a reference file within say
MeasureTool.
