I check mx3 every week. gmg is driving Epson 9800 and 4800 using Mid-States ProofLine White Satin 230 paper. Fuji is using "house" 80LB txt which is
Delta e for mx4 match between target and current is 0.49
. My last mx3 Delta e 0.42 average, 1.65 max for color. All this is info from gmg. TC4-95 (was used with Isis for measurements of gamut and mx4.
I did 3 selective edits in Profile editor because solid reds are out of gamut on this paper in comparison to Fuji FP and it shows. gmg semimatte 250 paper has those reds in gamut but I am trying to save money by using cheaper paper.

I have a brand new gmg system and I was happy with my proofs matching
MyFuji FinalProof till I ran some job with neutrals in highlight. My gmg
proof was too warm. I need to make it ,match closer. []
Before going the route of a custom target, what device is GMG drivinghere, and what kind of paper are you using in the GMG system compared to
the Fuji Final proof. How well (in delta E) is GMG's profile Editor
reporting the mx4's white point match between the current and targetdata? How often do you perform updates to the mx3? Have you attempted
selective edits within GMG's profile Editor. Some of the things I would
exhaust first before thinking about custom targets. I tried Profilemaker
and it does NOT work. You just cannot type your own color values you
wantto use. Same in ColorPort unless you ad custom - but this will awful
amount of time. I am looking at some automation. The worst I wouldopen
ECI or IT8 and add more values to them.[] That there's the easy part...after that's done, you'd have to create an
mx4 within GMG with those indices as well (not automated) as you can't
just drop a custom target at GMG. I personally have not see a need to gothe route you're taking with custom targets and GMG and I'd start
looking for a potential flaw in the workflow.
