You need to use a RIP, and set the RIP configuration accordingly. I did this on the 7000 years ago to add Hexachrome Orange and Green inks to the printer (in the Light C&M slots) for Hexachrome profiling and testing. As I recall I did this under both ColorBurst and ErgoSoft RIPs. Eliminating the light components made light color blends a bit grainier...
