Does anyone has any input on the Epson K3 inks quality?
Someone replaced Cyan in my 9800 last night and did not tell me. When I got to work and printed some proofs they were way off my FinalProof. I noticed that pure solid Cyan was very, very red. After I noticed new ink in the printer I verified calibration (gmg mx3) and I was over 3 dE off.
Does anyone knows if Epson checks inks for hue changes?
How often do you re-calibrate (or do linearisation in some rips) using Epson 800 series engines?
How often do you clean nozzles? I noticed Epsons cloogging much faster than my HP (5500 and 1050).
How about HP Z series engines, are they more stable?
Canon Lucia inks? Any better?
What is affecting color so much? Here in NYC is very cold and dry now, but would humidity affect ink hue that much? ------------------------ Derek Lambert Director of Prepress Services, Color and Information Technologies
