I got to work and printed some proofs they were way off my FinalProof. I
noticed that pure solid Cyan was very, very red. After I noticed new ink
in the printer I verified calibration (gmg mx3) and I was over 3 dE off.
Have you verified that the nozzles are clear by printing a nozzle
pattern and looking for gaps? We've been using Ultrachrome and K3 inks
for quite a while, and though we calibrate often (weekly), I've never
noticed that large a deviation from one cartridge to the next, so I'd
check your nozzles and clean if needed.
How often you need to perform cleanings might very well depend on your
environmental conditions (humidity, ect). For peace of mind, you can set
GMG up to print a nozzle pattern before or after each proof to verify
the state of the nozzles, then only clean when needed.
