RGB with no profile for the web?
RGB with no profile for the web?

Just checking if I am doing it right or not: How should I produce RGB
files
with no profile? If I convert to sRGB and leave the profile or remove
it, the image
colors shift when viewed in a non color profile managing application
such as Netscape, Opera, or even I.E. if the ColorSync box is
unchecked.
But if I convert it to my monitor profile and remove the profile, the
colors stay right even if the application is not profile savvy. So I
would think that using the monitor profile for the conversion and
saving the image without a profile is OK? However, I know some say it
is no good, for the monitor profile only works for my monitor. But if
the profile is removed, why should it matter?
Thanks in advance for your advice!
Regards
