Imagine what my 3.5GB email archive (76,000 messages) would be like if they
all had one graphic each as part of the signature at 72KB. It has been said
that the internet as it exists now would speed up 100% if spam were
eliminated. Imagine what would happen if those durned email signature
graphics went away too.
I convert everything to plain text to read it. It is so much easier that
way. No more "funky" color schemes like using yellow, cyan and green for
text causing headaches when trying to read your mail.
And people think *I'm crazy* for writing everything in plain text...

I like that.
As an aside, our company (80 employees) instituted a corporate e-mail
signature protocol two weeks ago, incorporating a 72 Kb .PNG file.
Yesterday our 30 Gb e-mail server maxed out.
Today we're back to signing our e-mail with text, albeit rich text.
