No wonder GMG only use Spectroscans in their labs to come up with default
MX3s and MX4s for their substrates.

And color sensing, too, Terry. Over the years that I kept making X-Rite vs
GMB measurements, comparing on the same fresh color targets, I invariably
found X-Rite's interference filter technology to read warm tones differently
than GMG gratings technology (X-Rite shifts hues a few degrees up). It's
probably a function of which national lab each is traceable to. But,
nevertheless, the fact remains. So much so that, in my humble experiments,
GMB measurements correlates slightly better with my visual assessments than
X-Rite's -- and last time I checked, I still enjoyed a decent normal color
vision, even at the age of 48, when my macula is slowly yellowing as the
litterature says.

I found the same thing you found. Love the 500 series but I could not part
with my SpectroEye. So much faster. I wish they'd offer some kind of remote
triggering option like a foot pedal, to speed up multiple readings, as an an
alternative of always having to reach out with our elbows to depress the
lever to make a reading.
