You can indeed get spectral data from an ICColor when driven by ProfilerMaker/MeasureTool . You need a dongle to see the spectral data options within MeasureTool though.
Thanks, I’m not going (too) insane.
As for this versus the DTP-70, (and be aware the DTP-70 I had was a very early model), I had a lot of issues with the later. But I guess I should admit the first few months with the iCColor until the firmware was updated a number of times, was also finicky. I sold my DTP-70 when I got my i1-i0 which I love. The DTP-70 jammed a lot for me, even on papers that didn’t seem that thick. But I'll admit that like the iCColor, modern versions may be great. I didn’t find the build quality all that impressive considering the price!
I did beta on the iSis and it worked quite well and was nicely built. But that was a good 5-6 months ago so I don’t know the status. Other than the physical size, I’m quite happy with the i0. I did have the upper arm unit die on me (the USB stopped working correctly) but I got it replaced and so far, so good.
I'll keep my DTP-41 UV/T forever since its the only reasonable tool I’ve owned for doing transmissive profiles.
Right now, when I measure a small chart on the i0 (the Atkinson 1728 target), it takes far, far longer for ProfileMaker Pro to generate the profile than for me to read the targets! But I’m on an Intel Mac and under Rosetta, PMP is pretty slow.
