Title: Re: HP's New Printers
Actually yes, a lot of new media specifically developed for the HP pigments. There are some contracted off the shelf media too for production shops that want to access more classic media directly from HP.
There was a lot of testing of sample media over the last two years , the selection was tightened in the last months. The candidates are all very good. My favourite is the |Professional Satin. It is a extra heavy roll format Satin that has just enough gloss but not too much to show what artifacts pigments can on glossy. It has no HP logos, is very opaque, rigid yet scratch resistant and just all round a great media for these inks.
I really like the Hahnemuhle optimised media for the HP pigments , especially the Fine Art Smooth. It is brighter than off the shelf Photo Rag, has a smoother surface, and just works better with the matte black ink . There are new glossy coming too and other fine art media.

But that said there are new third party media that are about to come out around now that are the perfect solution to fiber base B&W media, that will benefit all of us for all printer brands.

Are there someĀ  new line of photo, art and proof papers from HP to use with these new printers?
