Canon Proofer

IN fact, I use ProofMaster 3.x, for my 9900 from Perfect Proof.
Very good, I must to say.

Hello,

My client has an 11x17" Canon i9900 printer and wants
to simulate a flexo press which I will profile.

I've been informed that there is no proofing Rip
available for this printer.

My alternative for proofing would seem to be to:
1. Place Illustrator EPS files of labels into In
Design
2. Save as Postscript (use the Flexo Press CRD)
3. Open in Photoshop and print to the Canon through
the Canon profile.

Finally, I'd run a test image with color chart on
press and proof and compare numerically and visually.
Then I would edit the Canon profile if I detect any
significant color errors in the comparison.

Since i have been out of the loop for a while, I
wanted to know if anyone had any better ideas for
proofing that press with this printer?

Thanks,
Randy Z
