Apple versus Eizo Monitors

Hi,

I need to replace my CRT monitor, an old Diamond Pro 920. I am a fine art
photographer and print my work on an Epson 10000 (will most likely upgrade
when Epson comes out with its new line this spring/summer). I do a lot of
color critical PS work with my images and use a nicely calibrated workflow.
I am considering either a 24" Eizo CE 240W (~$1600) or an 23" Apple Cinema
Display (~$1000). The Eizo would be the very upper end of what I am
currently willing to spend. Would the higher contrast ratio of the Eizo
display be a problem for the kind of work I do? I would appreciate hearing
perspectives on this decision I need to make. Many thanks!
