The rendering of that product is the gold standard for me. Its hardly due to
the way it handles color management and profiles! That's way too simplistic.

Encode the same raw using the same color space (ProPhoto RGB) and you get
differing results because like all raw converters, there's a heck of a lot
of differences happening under the hood, even when you attempt to use all
the rendering controls to produce similar color appearance.

That said, would Adobe or Apple please send Brian a big check and introduce
some of his code? It really does produce beautiful rendering quality.
