Some see this approach as a distinct advantage. The problem, as I
understand it, with using a camera profile is that it is dependent upon a
given lighting condition, something that is rarely available outside the
studio. Adobe's approach is indeed far more flexible in delivering a
solution to a multiple lighting environment. Bruce Fraser will undoubtedly
chime in here if he is listening. (Thomas Fors also has a great little
script for tuning the colour settings ACR for a given camera.)
