DNG should be welcomed and improved, instead of vilified just because you
don't happen to like Adobe.
I'm not an Adobe hater - far from it! I have happily used Photoshop for many
years, and really like the workflow of LightRoom. I even like Jeff Schewe's
jokes!
In any case, I'm not sure that we need to preserve raw files for posterity.
The raw files aren't the 'art'; the 'art' is the finished product - that is
what we need to preserve and we can do that as tiffs or prints.
