Hallo George,
ColorSync is Apples system wide colormanagement module / system.
Windows XP has its own ICC compatible system, called ICM2, that is
based on a Heidelberg cmm.
It is not on the same level than ColorSync today, because it is a few
years old and not well supported by Microsoft.
What do you plan to do?
For display calibration / ICC profiling ICM2 works. The biggest
problem here are the graphic cards. You have to check if they allow
you the calibration.
The Adobe products are using their own cmm, called ACE, so you don't
have to expect problems here.
If you are talking about profile creation software, most
manufacturers are selling their products for both platforms.
If you don't want to care about the platform, you can use our Online
Profiler.
I hope this helps a little bit.
Best regards,
Clemens Beisch
