When looking at color on a MacBook Pro which is "better", "lesser of two
evils",etc, the matte display or the glossy display?

Matt,

I have a matte one. Similar viewing experience like the older PowerBooks

***BUT***

while it was possible to judge color on my PowerBook 17", I would
not recommend to judge color on my new MacBook Pro.

The horizontal viewing angle is a lot smaller.
The top part is too dark, while the lower part of the screen is too light.
While this was barely noticeable on the PowerBook, it can't be ignored
on my MacBook Pro.

So for color sensible work on my MacBook Pro I use an external screen
and the MacBook Pro's is for palletes, navigation etc.

Karsten
