I started testing the profiling of a CMYK color laser printer with Eye-One Pro. The results were basically acceptable, however, the light grays of my test prints are not neutral.

Profile Editing is rarely the right answer to a problem like this. Laser prints are often susceptible to metamerism. Have you measured the neutrality with your EyeOne? Does it look neutral under daylight? Which laser printer are we talking about?
