The paper is not one of the choices and there is no
listing on which base linerization to use for it.

The color management info is very limited. [I am use
to working with Epsons using ColorTuner.]
Based on the fact that these are the parameter with
which I must work: What would be the direction to the
best results for SWOP emulation.
Could someone point me in the right direction or where
can I get more info on color managing this RIP? The
EFI web site was of no help.
Thanks for any help here.

Oakley,
I haven't really worked with Designer Edition and am still awaiting
my copy of it to verify the facts, but my understanding is this:
Because this RIP does not allow you to make your own linearization
and set ink limits from scratch, you must choose a media type that
resembles that which you have. You can use these settings to print a
profiling chart for use in your profiling application (I must assume
that you can also turn off color management in the RIP). You then use
Profile Connector to link the linearization and your profile and thus
create a new print environment which you rename and save. In
Colorproof XF using a third-party profile actually requires a slight
workaround and this may be the case here as well. I'll know more
shortly, however.
