I think the easiest thing to do would be to set up Measure Tool to read a custom chart by simply giving it the number of rows/columns and start measuring the Lab-Ref in spot/patch mode with your Eye-One. I would suggest setting it to take 3 readings per patch to average the results. After measuring with your Eye-One and saving the data, take the other Eye-One in question and measure the same Lab-Ref in the same patch layout/order. Save theirs as a second measurement file and them simply use the Compare function in Measure Tool.

If you simply want to compare the dE of a single patch, you could use the Spot Measure feature in Measure Tool. Use one Eye-One to take the Reference measurement and the other to take the Sample measurement.

As an aside, I've just set up and started to use GMB's NetProfiler 2 software which allows you to certify your own spectro and "tune" it to match a standard reference. The upshot is that it can used to synchronize multiple spectros to read within a very tight delta tolerance of each other. Very useful for comparing measurement data from two remote spectros. The only downside is that it currently only supports the Gretagmacbeth SpectroEye even though the reference calibration card includes patches for the iCColor, Spectrolino and Eye-One as well as the SpectroEye. I know that it's "tuned" my SpectroEye from an average/peak dE of .70/1.40 to under .26/.40. Pretty amazing technology that I hope gets rolled out for many other instruments.

I would like to measure a color patch with my Eye-One and then come up with a delta E value by comparing my reading with someone else's readings of the same color patch.

I have PMP 5.0.8 with the measure tool. I have a GCA Lab-Ref, certified by R. Hutchison. I would like to compare my readings of this target with their measurements in terms of a delta E. I cannot figure out how to do this via PMP. The purpose would be to serve as a check on the accuracy of my Eye-One.

Any ideas?
