The way I understand it and I'm not a physicist nor the most kwnowledgeable
person on this instrument, the fact that the LED illumination is limited to
the visible range, we should not see any UV-induced fluorescence in
measurements.
If this proves to be the case then this, to me, is the same as filtering
reflected light with a UV filter on non-LED instruments. Hence, for UV-rich
sources such as natural daylight we should observe mismatches if D50
illuminant is chosen for calculating XYZ and Lab. But for UV-poor lights,
the match should be better.
BTW, I still find the DTP70 a great, versatile and reliable instrument.
