With all due respect, where did you get your numbers? They don't seem
to match the Adobe store prices that I can find for the UK or the US.
When you get down to it though that seems to be the way it is with
most companies importing products into the UK. There is a pretty good
price difference to an Epson 3800 selling in the UK verses the US.
Dear Larry
I think you will find that these prices are pretty close to the mark.
Over on <www.pro-imaging.org> ....... a world wide professional
photographer's discussion group, there has been a huge amount of
discussion regarding this. And as a result Adobe are looking very much
as if they are simple trying to cash in on users in the UK, and
elsewhere with absolutely no real justification. This leaves a pretty
unpleasant taste in the mouth of those people who have bought year after
year, proper copies of these Adobe products.
Perhaps Adobe should understand that it's a whole lot fairer to have one
price for a product, regardless of where the customer is, especially if
the order is placed via the web. They need to justify these inflated,
out of the USA prices, if they are to retain the trust and respect of
customers....... in the long term.
Cheers
Richard
