There is a usm.xml file in the Colorproof folder that can be altered to
adjust sharpeness (amount, radius, threshold) for Epson x600 and 4000
printers, but its not applicable to the x800 series printers (or x600
series using "Improved screening").  As far as sharpness of type though,
increasing resolution might indeed help...proofing at 1440 x720 perhaps.
