Profiling an HP laserjet

  • Subject: Profiling an HP laserjet

Hi,
I'm profiling an HP laser 5550n and I'd like to know if profiling a laser printer today has the same issues pointed by Bruce Fraser in his color management book, warning about significant color variations related to the toner level. According to Master Bruce, the color behavior with a new toner is very different from the colors with a low toner...

Is it still true? If it´s still true, averaging "high and low" measures is a viable option?

Best regards,
Lorenzo
