By that you probably mean that InDesign will not allow the user to activate
the "Composite Leave Unchanged" output option when printing to RGB devices
like inkjet printers. That *is* puzzling. It's probably a very unfortunate
oversight.
Doyle's workaround *is* one valid way to fix that. Another one is to print
the RGB testchart to the inkjet printer with color management active forcing
a "null" conversion (using the same output profile as the one used for the
document's RGB working space). Too bad that one must go as far as either
using "Emulate Adobe InDesign 2.0 CMS Off" in InDesign's Color Settings or
forcing a "null" conversion in order to send unchanged RGB numbers to print.
We can only hope that Adobe is aware of this shortcoming and will fix it in
an upcoming version.
Incidentally, in Illustrator there is no "No Color Management" option at
all, under *any* combination of settings. That also feels like a puzzling
omission.
