I wrote an email to NEC headquarters in Munich today to ask them if there's
any way to buy the SpectraView II software here in Europe.
Not very hopeful though, my initial email to NEC in the Netherlands was
NEVER answered. I tried to call their SpectraView hotline in Germany several
times last Friday, but the phone was never answered.

It´s rather a shame, the Americans don´t have the software that comes
bundled (plus a hood, btw) with SpectraView monitors in Europe ;-)

As I recall, the European software (but not the US software) has the same
CIECAM02 TRCs in it that BasICColor has, so in that regard, I would consider
the European software more advanced. I inquired about this and was told that
they (US NEC) currently don't have any plans to add CIECAM02 targets to
SpectraView II, but if there was an interest they could do so. The European
"SpectraView Profiler" and the US "SpectraView II" are apparently totally
separate development efforts.
