CIELuv was brought up during the last CIE meeting in Ottawa, last year, and
while the consensus among the attendees was that CIELuv wasn't really needed
anymore (all current color science development revolved around CIELab and
CIECAM worldwide) it was agreed to keep it around for 'emissive' people.
Seems to serve those in the broadcast or television industries well.

But the prevalent model is CIELAB, no question.
