For photolabs this is the way to go! The 50xy is a snazzy little
instrument with high quality "innards". And you are right about the
software, Perceptual is close to relative colorimetric, except there
is no clipping with large input gamuts. You will even find saturation
useable, as opposed to most other profiling solutions.

Karl

Anyone familiar with BARBIERI Spectro 50xy and its software companion
Profile-Xpert? I can buy this combo for a very reasonable price and
I'm
looking for opinions on this hardware/software.
The seller created a profile for our Durst Theta and I've been
comparing
this profile to other Theta profiles (created with Eye-One/
Profilemaker).
I found the main difference to be in the perceptual intent of both
profiles (no surpise of course). The Barbieri percepetual intent seems
very close to relative. Any opinions?
Best regards,
Herman
