The bargain of the century, if you can find them (I think they are only in
BestBuy at the moment) is the new Samsung 22" 226CW. This is NOT the same as
the models with "BW". This is a brand new model, which is why not too many
stores have it yet. It's got a new technology called "wide color gamut" or
extended color gamut, or something to that effect. This is NOT the same as
the "BW" models. It must be the "CW" model.
I bought one for a friend of mine doing lots of Photoshop work on an old MAC
Powerbook laptop. The screen was pitiful so he needed a relatively
inexpensive external screen that was also fairly accurate. After a little
research we came up with this. The screen out of the box was so amazingly
accurate that he would have been fine even without it being profiled. Used
it for two days before he took it away. And it was only $379.00 !!
I was blown away by it. Profiled it using Monaco Profiler, checked again in
two days and it didn't drift at all.
An amazing little screen for the money. Check it out.

Good luck.

Subject: Monitor Recommendation
Hi,
Our company is in the process of replacing all CRT monitors with Dell 19"
flat screens. The Dell's look awful and we're having a real hard time
getting an accurate looking picture even with the Color Vision Spyder2Pro
system. Our tech support guys came by and tried taking my Sony Trinitron
model GDM-C520 in return for one of the Dells. Can someone recommend a
better flat screen in the 23" inch range? I also have to justify why I need
something better than a Dell. Can anyone help me out with some good reasons?
Regards,
Rich Young
