And that's not just for proofing anymore: GMG allows RGB printing. Work
just as great.

If you're talking about RGB files to be printed on a (CMYK) inkjet, most good RIPs can do the conversion on the fly. What some do not have is a shadow/black point compensation in relative colorimetric (as does EFI Colorproof, for example) which would send one back to Photoshop for the conversion. I must say, however, that at least on the Epsons, the stock RGB driver gives a slightly larger gamut and smoother screening than I've gotten on any RIP, at the cost of convenience and productivity.
