I am trying to keep this NOT a coloreyes question. You are asking me
not to "market" but you are asking me questions about my product. So
I will try not to speak on specifics of other products
Andrew:
3. Can you say that the patches you measure from Validation do test
tough
colors that would typically show high deltaE values (turquoise
blues, very
dark colors)?
Our simple validation is both grey scale values and the three primary
colors.
Beyond this there are several reference files you can choose to
evaluate against as well. From the 24 patch Macbeth Colorchecker to
the SWOP reference. You can also make your own. Put any colors you
see fit in RGB, CMYK, LAB or XYZ.
With regards to your high dE numbers, take the macbeth for
example................
I have found that photographers love to use that as a "feel good"
barometer for their monitor calibration. Ive used that tool to show
them how much better those difficult cyans and greens are when
running their white point to D50 instead of D65.
Its not hard, and they get that.
I am all for keeping it simple for the user base .
