A large Canadian graphic design college added a color management
course for designers within their continuing education department.
Since color management is not taught in their BA program the plan was
to introduce the subject as extra-curricular. The course was offered
twice during two semesters, last fall and this winter, and not one
person signed up for either session.
Take what meaning you can from that instance.

Look, you are designers and are good at what you do. We are
production people, and we are good at what *we* do.
And both groups have a lot to learn from each other. With the proper
respect and sharing of knowledge, both parties can craft a more
intelligent and smoother workflow that everyone benefits from.
