If the software company knows in advance that having a Gamma choice
in their software will make the difference in a particular reviewer's
mind between a good review and a bad one, what prevents them from
contacting the reviewer to discuss it?
If I were the reviewer I'd welcome the opportunity to talk about the
features and performance with the manufacturer beforehand as this
could present the best chance to really understand who's thinking
what and make sure everyone is at least clear on that.

And really, do you think that between the option of making a
really easy intuitive product or getting a few less stars in a review,
assuming that would happen is justification for this?
