Marco is right. Some RIPs go as far as extending the media simulation into
the job ticket area and the control strip (which is a must for any serious
proofing). So, once the excess margin is trimmed off, it's as though the
substrate itself was whatever media color the proof is trying to simulate
and then, no one ever objects. Heck, if you use a Kodak Veris today, which
is not exactly cheap, the proofing sustrate comes in two "colors",
commercial and publication. Publication appears "dim" and "creamy".
