Paul,
My take on this is that, as good as the laptop screen are slowly getting
(anyone seen the latest MacBookPro LEDs?), they are still no match for the
desktop LCDs. So, if I were you, I'd try to use the same target calibration
settings on both your laptop and your monitor and live with the difference.
I'd suggest you compare the two calibrated screens side by side to best edge
your bet, so you know what to expect ahead of time.
