Richard,

Do you know whether that screen has the new LED backlight?

Hi Roger,

I've only had this laptop for 2 days, and I've been out shooting, so I haven't used it much at all. It came directly from Apple, and it's a 2.5 GHz 15" model with the new trackpad, so I assume it has the new display, as well.

I pulled the matrix profile that I had built quickly before I left yesterday, and yea, something looks strange, and I need to spend more time investigating this. I plotted the measured colors in the profile data vs the profile, and there are a heck of a lot of points far outside the profile. The gamut volume is also very small. I noticed that I had used an older version of Match, so I d'loaded the latest version to try again.. Strangely, the first profile was completely wacked - wild magentas, greens, etc. I dumped it and repeated the process, and the next profile looked grossly acceptable.

I'm tied up the next 3 days, but I'll take a more systematic look after that.
