If it were me, I'd look at ALL profiling application options. The
"roadmap" for a unified Profiler/ProfileMaker product is, to say the
least, unclear at the moment and based on recent events I would say
it's unlikely to see the light of day until 2009 (just my opinion and
with no special knowledge of what's going on at X-Rite).
The others (there could be more) that I would take a serious look at
would be:
1) basICColor: http://www.basiccolor.de/english/index_E.htm
2) TGLC/PerfX: http://www.tglc.com/english/index.html
3) Heidelberg/Prinect Profile Toolbox: http://tinyurl.com/5jlxgj

I am in the market to purchase some new profiling software.
Now with Xrite and Gretag Macbeth under the same roof, Is it better
to go
with Monaco Profiler Plat, 4.83 or Profile Maker Pro 5.08?
I make both rgb and cmyk printer profiles and I also make dcam
profiles.
Does anyone know what software xrite is going to continue to
develope or
are they both doomed in the near future and they come out with
something
"new"
