OK, are we saying that the ColorMunki is a perfect replacement for the
EyeOne Pro?

Perfect? Well first off, there's a huge difference in price. So that makes up for what may be an imperfect comparison. Is your Eyeone Pro no longer functioning? Are there capabilities the Munki lacks that the EyeOne Pro has? Not sure. I know you can't tape it to an iO as an upgrade option. But for all I know, its a superior device. I'm not someone qualified to say. Perhaps someone here has the technical knowledge to test them, take them apart, discuss the advances of the Munki over the EyeOne Pro. I know that when rubber meets the road, the profiles I get from the Munki are as good as what I got in the past with the EyeOne Pro measuring a lot more patches. And I know its a screaming deal. So does that make it a perfect replacement? No. You can get an EyeOne Pro in either UV cut or non, can't do that with Munki so for some, its not perfect. Heck, for some, nothing will ever be perfect.

A "yes" to all those questions would do to convince me. Otherwise, the
search for a replacement is still on.

And you need to replace it why?

There are some who would prefer a Spectrolino, an older albeit more expensive product. Maybe that's your prefect replacement.

But what any of this has to do with X-Rite having to tell you anything about what's coming is beyond me.
