Gentlemen!!!
I have a client here locally who is a satellite for a Germany based
company and they are giving us specs for logo colors in " Euro"
percentages. They do give pantone equivalents for two of the three
requested. The odd one out is calling for Euro 100% Mag and 100% Y. They
also give an RGB value of 255,0,0. My conundrum is this..... when I plug
255,0,0 in Photoshop using GRACoL2006_Coated1v2....... I get 88% Magenta
95% Yellow. Any thoughts.... comments...... suggestions ( Besides moving
across the big pond that is:-) Thanks in advance for your input.
... Just ignore "Euro" or "Euroscale" and stick to a FOGRA39 based
profile, e.g the one installed witrh CS3 ("Coated FOGRA39") or the one
from eci.org ("ISO Coated v2 (ECI)" part of in
<http://www.eci.org/lib/exe/fetch.php?id=en:downloads&cache=cache&media=downloads:icc_profiles_from_eci:eci_offset_2008.zip>
"Euro" or "Euroscale" are relicts of the days before the invention of
color management...
