Hi Mike.

I myself have noticed that imprecision in Photoshop's Gamut Warning command for quite a while now, and learned not to trust it.

I am not an engineer and I don't have inside knowledge of how the command works, but I can say that it acts in a crude and approximate manner. Like you, I trust ColorThink Pro much better than Gamut Warning when it comes to showing which colors are out of gamut, and the discrepancy is remarkable.

I can only hope that future upgrades will fix what I view as a clear malfunction in this tool.
