Nice test image, Mark. I also like iStar_12LABhuesforSRGB_v4-1.psd.
You should not stay in lurk mode too long!
Your suggested behavior for Photoshop's Info palette reminds me of the old
Kodak ColorFlow Editor v2.21. It was everything I could ever want in
advanced color pickers: it show the source device value, the input PCS
value, the device output values and the output PCS values. It was a complete
end-to-end assessment of a given color transformation. I'd wish for
something advanced like that in Photoshop -- on top of an Lch readout in the
Info palette (how difficult is that to do Mr. Adobe?).
